This must be one of the most unusual rental properties in Wivenhoe. The "chapel" is self-contained. The property features a kitchen, large double height living room, shower and WC and a bedroom. Windows on three sides and the high ceiling means this property is always light and airy. The bedroom with double bed is reached by an internal spiral staircase and is very bright because of the Velux® roof light. Those who like it fall in love with it - one tenant stayed for 4 years.

The property was fitted in 2007 with a new gas boiler and radiators. There is also a wood-burning Jotul stove. Keep it topped up with wood and you can boil a kettle on it!

The property is furnished in a basic fashion. It is light and airy but please note it can be cold in winter because of the high ceiling in the main room.
